Troubleshooting

Start by identifying the issue, then adjust your settings

Most connection issues come from an outdated subscription, changed system permissions, local network fluctuations, or a route that does not match the task. Following the checks below helps avoid unnecessary reinstalls and repeat purchases.

Check account status

Sign in to the user panel first and confirm that your plan, order, and subscription are active. Get subscription content only from the panel, not from old links of unknown origin.

Refresh the client configuration

Update the subscription and reopen the client. After an OS update or device change, check VPN permissions and background permissions again.

Compare another route

Do not keep reconnecting to the same route. Test another route in the same region, then compare on a different network to distinguish route issues from local network issues.

Prepare the issue details

When submitting a ticket, include the system, client, route region, and observed error. Do not publicly share subscription content or payment credentials, as this may compromise account security.

ACCOUNT

Account & subscriptions

Covers registration requirements, subscription access, device changes, and supported systems. All account actions should start in the user panel.

Do I need an email address to register for VPNOI?

No email address is required; you can register with a username and password. Save your credentials securely and avoid staying signed in on public devices. After registration, open the user panel to view plans, orders, subscriptions, and client downloads. Marketing pages do not provide static subscription URLs or direct installer links.

Where can I find my subscription link, and how do I update it?

Sign in to the user panel and get the subscription for your account from the account overview or client download area, then import it into your client. When routes change, you usually do not need to delete the existing configuration; update the subscription or refresh the configuration in the client first. If the list still has not changed, fully close and reopen the client, then return to the panel to confirm that your plan and subscription are active.

Do I need to buy another plan after switching devices?

No. You do not need to purchase another plan just because you changed devices. VPNOI supports unlimited simultaneous devices, so you can use the active subscription linked to your account on your own Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux devices. On a new device, get the client and subscription again from the user panel. Long-term storage or forwarding of subscription details through chat history is not recommended.

Which operating systems support VPNOI?

Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux are supported. Permission prompts and import locations vary by system, but the basic process is the same: sign in to the user panel to get the client and subscription, import them, allow the system to establish the VPN connection, then choose a route and verify the exit connection. If an OS update resets permissions, check the client’s network permissions again.

CONNECTION

Connections & issues

A connected status does not mean every app is routing correctly. Check the subscription, system permissions, local network, and app routing together.

The client says it is connected, but web pages still will not open. What should I do?

Switch to another available route, then fully close and reopen the client. Check that the system time is accurate, the current network can access ordinary web pages, and the browser has not enabled a separate proxy extension. If only the current network is affected, test another network. If the same issue occurs on multiple networks, update the subscription and submit a ticket through the user panel with your system, client, and symptoms.

Why is a particular app not using the proxy?

A common cause is that the client is in rule mode and the app’s connection is not covered by the current rules. The system may also have granted the client incomplete VPN permissions. Switch to global mode for comparison; if it works there, review app routing in the rule settings. On Android, check that battery-saving policies are not restricting the client in the background. On desktop systems, check for other proxy tools running at the same time.

How do I fix a failed subscription update or a format error?

First, confirm that you copied the complete subscription content currently shown in the user panel, with no extra spaces at either end and no truncation by a chat app. Do not edit any characters in the subscription manually. Close other proxy tools and try updating again on a normal network. If it still fails, delete the expired subscription from the client and import it again from the panel. When submitting a ticket, do not publicly paste the full subscription; provide the client name and error message instead.

Where should I check if a new device cannot connect after importing the subscription?

Confirm that your account plan is still active, then check whether the new device has allowed the client to establish a VPN connection. Refresh the subscription, choose a route in another region, and reconnect. If the old device works but the new one does not, the issue is usually related to permissions on the new device, leftover system proxy settings, or background restrictions. Close similar network tools and try again, and make sure no conflicting VPN configuration remains enabled.

ROUTES

Speed & routes

Speed is affected by the local network, target service, route region, and background tasks. Run comparison tests first, then identify the likely source of the issue.

What should I do if the connection slows down during peak hours?

During peak hours, avoid repeatedly reconnecting to the same route. Refresh the subscription, then try another route in the same region or compare a nearby region suited to your use case. Downloads, cloud sync, and system updates consume local bandwidth, so pause them before testing. If web pages work but video buffers, lower the playback quality to check for bandwidth fluctuations. If every route is affected, check the local network and submit a ticket.

Should I choose a route by region, type, or name?

Choose the region based on your use case first, then compare route types and real connection performance within that region. For AI tools, work websites, or streaming, the target service’s region is usually more important than the route name. Nearby routes are often better for everyday browsing, but stability on your current network should be the deciding factor. VPNOI covers 110+ countries / 240+ routes, so you can keep several frequently used routes from different regions as alternatives.

A streaming page opens, but the content will not play. What should I do?

First, confirm that the selected route region matches the content region. Then fully quit the streaming app or close the browser tab and reopen it. Old location data, account regions, and DNS cache entries can make the page and exit region appear inconsistent. Try another route in the same region and avoid switching repeatedly during playback. If only specific content is affected, note the platform, region, and message, then submit a ticket through the user panel.

How can I troubleshoot an AI tool that stops responding or keeps loading?

AI tools often use persistent connections, so even a brief network fluctuation can interrupt a response. Pause bandwidth-heavy downloads and sync tasks, choose a stable route in the same region, refresh the page, and send the request again. If ordinary web pages work but the AI tool continues to fail, try another browser or clear that site’s cache for comparison. If the issue remains, submit a ticket with the tool name, route region, and observed error.

BILLING

Billing & refunds

Monthly subscriptions and traffic bundles reset differently. Confirm the billing type, order status, and usage habits before choosing or changing a plan.

What monthly subscription tiers are available, and when does traffic reset?

Monthly subscriptions: ¥9.9/month includes 60GB · ¥18/month includes 250GB · ¥28/month includes 500GB. Traffic resets monthly on the activation date, and mid-cycle upgrades convert the price difference into remaining days. Choose based on your typical use of web pages, AI tools, video, and file transfers. The user panel is the source of truth for your plan status, remaining traffic, and reset details.

Do traffic bundles reset every month?

Traffic bundles remain available until used and never expire: ¥158/300GB · ¥358/1000GB · ¥658/3000GB. They use a different billing model from monthly subscriptions, which reset each month on the activation date, and are better suited to irregular usage or users who prefer to consume a fixed total amount of traffic. Confirm the bundle type on the plans page before purchase, then check remaining traffic in the user panel.

Can I upgrade a monthly subscription mid-cycle?

Available upgrade options are shown in the user panel. For a mid-cycle upgrade, the price difference is converted into remaining days, while traffic continues to reset monthly on the activation date. Before upgrading, check your current plan, target plan, and the conversion shown in the panel. If you only need more traffic occasionally, compare the billing models for monthly subscriptions and never-expiring traffic bundles first, so your choice matches your usage.

Which payment methods are supported?

Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT are supported. To pay, open the order page from the user panel and use the payment option shown on the current order. After payment, do not create the same order again; refresh the order status and account overview first. If the status does not update correctly, keep the order details and submit a ticket through the user panel. Do not provide payment credentials or complete transaction records on public pages.

How do I request a refund?

VPNOI offers a 7-day no-questions-asked refund. To apply, sign in to the user panel, submit a ticket, select the relevant order, and explain your refund request so the order status can be verified. Before submitting, you can troubleshoot subscription updates, client permissions, and route selection. If you still want a refund, keep the order details complete and watch for the ticket response. The applicable scope is defined by the refund terms in the Terms of Service.
